Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum 6 years progressive experience in hotel food and beverage management
- strong leadership and managerial skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
- exceptional organizational and administrative skills
- experience in implementing new food and beverage concepts
- ability to work collaboratively with other hotel departments
- high energy and entrepreneurial mindset
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- pre-opening hotel experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- at least 5 years experience in a senior role in a food and beverage environment
- 6 years or more of progressive hotel food and beverage experience, typically with Hyatt
- previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- service oriented style with professional presentation skills
- proven leadership skills
- hotel or hospitality degree an asset
- must possess high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, be a motivational leader with a proven track record in high volume concepts
- effective communicator
- effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- experience implementing new food and beverage concepts
Job Duties
- responsibility for short-term and long-term planning and management of the food and beverage operations in the front and back of the house
- develop and recommend annual or quarterly budgets, marketing plans and objectives and manage within those approved plans
- participate in total hotel management as a member of the Hotel Executive Leadership Committee
- implement and maintain food and beverage sales and marketing programs
- direct and oversee development of colleagues
- hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews
- direct the implementation of payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations
- coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
- resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
- implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
- exercise quality control for both food and beverage
- maintain Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation
- perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
- maintain communications with Corporate Staff
- coach and counsel colleagues to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
- additional tasks as assigned by management
- demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
