Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum 10 years of relevant food and beverage management experience
- experience with hotel pre-opening and large-scale operations
- certifications including ServeSafe, Tips and ABC
- strong leadership and communication skills
- proficiency with POS and inventory management software
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment
- knowledge of hospitality industry trends and financial management
- passion for guest service and innovation
Job Qualifications
- 10 plus years of food and beverage management experience in upscale, lifestyle or luxury hotel settings
- experience opening hotels
- successful track record of accomplishment and growth in hospitality food and beverage
- proven leadership in managing large-scale operations with multiple outlets, banquets and high-volume service
- strong skills in leadership, problem solving, team building, communication and organization
- extensive knowledge of spirits, craft cocktails and mixology techniques
- proficient with Microsoft Office and POS systems including Micros, Crunchtime, and other food and beverage software
- background in storytelling, beverage, food, live music and events
- ability to innovate and think creatively in all aspects of the role
- certifications such as ServeSafe, Tips and ABC within 60 days of employment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Lead and direct the development and implementation of food and beverage vision and concepts
- manage pre-opening critical path process ensuring timely achievement of milestones
- oversee creation of distinctive food and beverage concepts reflecting Southern hospitality and the property brand
- partner with executive chef, beverage and entertainment teams to design innovative and authentic menus
- recruit, interview, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing food and beverage team embracing a collaborative, inclusive culture
- lead and mentor food and beverage leadership team ensuring excellence in service, quality and satisfaction across all outlets
- manage all food and beverage outlets including event venues, in-room dining, market, banquets and catering
- drive a guest-centric experience delivering personalized and memorable interactions
- empower team to exceed guest expectations and respond gracefully to feedback
- collaborate with sales team to build site inspection processes for prospective clients
- participate in hotel revenue strategy meetings
- prepare and execute annual business plans with budgeting, forecasting, labor planning and cost control
- oversee vendor relationships and financial performance to meet or exceed KPIs
- stay informed on industry trends and competitors’ offerings to keep concepts fresh and competitive
- collaborate with marketing to develop programming, special events, and community initiatives
- foster team creativity and experimentation
- oversee scheduling, shift planning, and day-to-day operations ensuring professionalism and excellence
- professionally represent the hotel in industry and community events
- utilize platforms like Crunchtime, Microsoft Office, ProfitSword, Micros and other systems for scheduling, inventory, reporting and financial management
