Job Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Professional demeanor for a luxury environment
  • Minimum three years as Food and Beverage Director in a luxury high volume hotel
  • Five to seven years of diverse food and beverage management experience
  • Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans, safety programs, personnel relations, business plans, repairs, maintenance, budgeting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-range planning
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings and motivate teams
  • Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication skills for leadership and ethical decision making
  • Ability to work well under stress
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business related major
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
  • Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
  • Must have good near and far vision
  • Must be able to hear, talk, smell

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business related major
  • Minimum of three years as Food and Beverage Director in a luxury high volume hotel
  • Five to seven years diverse experience in food and beverage management
  • Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing, safety, personnel relations, business planning, maintenance, budgeting, and quality assurance
  • Proven ability to lead meetings and motivate teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Ensure highest level of food quality and service
  • Manage all food and beverage operations including multiple restaurants and bars
  • Control food and beverage supplies through vendor negotiations and contract management
  • Develop and implement operational schedules to achieve profitability
  • Review and consult on food and beverage menus
  • Maximize department profitability through financial management
  • Assist outlet managers in achieving profit targets and quality standards
  • Provide guidance and set performance standards for staff
  • Develop action plans based on guest satisfaction scores
  • Control and manage labor, food and beverage costs, and supplies
  • Analyze profit and loss statements to resolve issues
  • Ensure effective departmental communication
  • Foster a motivating and empowering team environment
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott policies and legal regulations
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
