Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience
  • Proficient in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Capability to exert medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently or constantly
  • Effective communication skills verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests
  • Skilled in attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented interactions
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns of employees and guests
  • Skill in multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Approach all encounters in a friendly and service oriented manner
  • Attendance at all required hotel meetings and trainings
  • Willingness to participate in M.O.D. coverage as needed
  • Maintains regular attendance per scheduling requirements
  • Maintains professional appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
  • Complies with hotel safety and operational standards
  • Proactively identifies problem areas and assists with solutions

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and employees
  • Supervise all food and beverage personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance including forecasting
  • Monitor industry trends and take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations
  • Work with executive committee members and keep them informed of food and beverage issues
  • Coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in the food and beverage department
