Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • substantial experience in hospitality or club management
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work hands-on and lead by example
  • proficiency in budget preparation and financial management
  • excellent interpersonal skills to engage with members and staff
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of service and conduct
  • legal eligibility to work in the United States
  • willingness to participate in professional development

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university preferably in hospitality management
  • substantial hospitality experience
  • commitment to continuing personal and professional development
  • candidates seeking a certified club manager designation highly considered

Job Duties

  • Work proactively with the general manager towards goals and objectives of the club
  • be the leading team player willing to work hands-on alongside staff
  • create a sense of place regarding the club's offerings as a family-style club
  • partner with executive management on food and beverage direction
  • participate in menu creation and pricing strategy
  • communicate effectively with members and staff
  • engage with members in all food and beverage outlets
  • lead by example during high volume times
  • provide strong mentorship and direction to teams
  • evaluate personnel to maintain standards of conduct and delivery
  • interview, hire, train, assign, and discipline staff
  • perform annual department evaluations
  • participate in club committee meetings
  • coordinate with Troon leadership for team member advancement
  • prepare budget data and project costs
  • monitor financial results and take corrective actions
  • ensure effective staffing and scheduling
  • use systems and technology for management and financial performance
  • drive member and guest satisfaction with additional initiatives
  • evaluate and set standards of operation
  • engage visibly with members and make them feel like VIPs
  • implement effective communication across teams
  • develop talent through leadership and mentoring
  • build relationships within culinary and front-of-house teams
  • infuse creativity into member events
  • assist with club communications to membership
