Job Requirements

  • Education level equivalent to a two-year college degree or higher
  • Relevant progressive experience in food and beverage management
  • Proficiency with Windows and office software
  • Capacity to exert medium physical work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Commitment to guest service excellence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Availability for long or flexible working hours
  • Adherence to company grooming and appearance standards
  • Compliance with safety and operational regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience
  • Proficient in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Ability to listen to and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Job Duties

  • Supervise all food and beverage personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance including forecasting
  • Monitor industry trends and take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations
  • Coordinate and monitor all phases of Loss Prevention in the food and beverage department
  • Organize and conduct department meetings regularly
  • Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations
