Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience
  • proficient in Windows and company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • ability to work long hours
  • capacity to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • multitasking and prioritization skills
  • attentive, friendly and courteous demeanor
  • participation in hotel required meetings and trainings
  • availability for management on duty coverage
  • regular attendance and adherence to hotel standards
  • high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise all food and beverage personnel
  • respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance
  • monitor industry trends to maintain competitive and profitable operations
  • coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in the food and beverage department
  • ensure compliance with all local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
  • organize and conduct regular department meetings and training sessions
