Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience
  • proficient in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • ability to work long hours
  • capable of medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • effective communication skills with employees and guests
  • attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • participation in required hotel meetings and trainings
  • flexibility to provide M.O.D. coverage as required
  • maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance
  • comply with hotel standards to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • focus on productivity and problem-solving
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
  • maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise all food and beverage personnel
  • respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance
  • monitor industry trends and maintain competitive and profitable operations
  • coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in the food and beverage department
  • organize and conduct department meetings regularly
  • ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations, and standard operating procedures
