Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage management
  • Strong knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and departments simultaneously
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial oversight
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to enforce compliance with safety and legal standards
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Willingness to participate in community relations and public events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Extensive experience in food and beverage management within the hotel industry
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Experience in menu planning and merchandising
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Ability to train and develop staff effectively

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the food and beverage department
  • Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of various food and beverage sub-departments such as room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, stewards
  • Monitor and develop schedules for all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result
  • Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in menu creation and merchandising
  • Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
  • Assist managers in achieving profit objectives and quality standards
  • Review and evaluate customer satisfaction and recommend operating and marketing policy changes
  • Develop operating tools such as budgeting, forecasting, recipes and job descriptions
  • Ensure compliance with policies and legal regulations
  • Hire, train, supervise and discipline food and beverage management team members
  • Participate in annual budget development and financial planning
  • Attend mandatory meetings
  • Participate in Manager on Duty coverage
  • Participate in community public relations
  • Operate traditional software programs
  • Perform cleaning tasks for health and safety compliance
  • Perform duties in capacities of supervised positions
  • Demonstrate positive leadership to inspire associates
  • Execute special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
