Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage management
- Strong knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations
- Ability to manage multiple teams and departments simultaneously
- Proficient in budgeting and financial oversight
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to enforce compliance with safety and legal standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
- Willingness to participate in community relations and public events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, hospitality or related field preferred
- Extensive experience in food and beverage management within the hotel industry
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- Experience in menu planning and merchandising
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Ability to train and develop staff effectively
Job Duties
- Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the food and beverage department
- Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of various food and beverage sub-departments such as room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, stewards
- Monitor and develop schedules for all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result
- Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in menu creation and merchandising
- Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
- Assist managers in achieving profit objectives and quality standards
- Review and evaluate customer satisfaction and recommend operating and marketing policy changes
- Develop operating tools such as budgeting, forecasting, recipes and job descriptions
- Ensure compliance with policies and legal regulations
- Hire, train, supervise and discipline food and beverage management team members
- Participate in annual budget development and financial planning
- Attend mandatory meetings
- Participate in Manager on Duty coverage
- Participate in community public relations
- Operate traditional software programs
- Perform cleaning tasks for health and safety compliance
- Perform duties in capacities of supervised positions
- Demonstrate positive leadership to inspire associates
- Execute special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
