Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive financial leadership experience in hospitality
  • Proficiency in hotel accounting software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective in presenting financial data and responses to feedback
  • High energy and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Experience mentoring and managing teams

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in hospitality
  • Proficiency in hotel accounting software such as Profitsword and Micros
  • Advanced user of Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present data to ownership and receive feedback
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, and customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with hotel goals
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and general ledger
  • Review preliminary financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Complete the year-end audit process and respond to auditor requests
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts
  • Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain internal controls and safeguard hotel assets
  • Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff
  • Participate in strategic planning and capital expenditure decisions
