Job Requirements
- Minimum five years progressive accounting and finance management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or Hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of hotel accounting preferably AHLA Uniform System of Accounts
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including month-end close periods
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to uphold company values and respectful workplace guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or hospitality preferred
- Minimum five years of progressive accounting and finance management experience
- Working knowledge of hotel accounting including AHLA Uniform System of Accounts preferred
- Proven experience in leading accounting teams and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster a respectful diverse and inclusive workplace
- Experience with legal and financial compliance and audits
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Collaborative leadership style with focus on coaching and talent development
Job Duties
- Reinforce the companys Art + Science ideologies to ensure the experiences of translocal hospitality intuitive service and collaboration are implemented and modeled by leaders
- Actively participate in interviewing hiring training scheduling coaching and motivating associates to nurture ideas and develop future talent
- Ensure a sense of belonging by upholding values and guidelines for a respectful workplace diverse equitable and inclusive environment
- Role model open-door policy and employee engagement practices demonstrating positive work ethic and business ethics
- Lead and oversee all accounting and finance procedures practices and policies ensuring timely execution and meeting deadlines
- Lead preparation of budgets and forecasts working collaboratively on economic objectives and policies for the hotel
- Develop and implement procedures and training to promote efficient and timely completion of accounting activities
- Provide financial analysis to stakeholders and collaborate with executive finance leadership on financial goals
- Administer legal and finance compliance initiatives including SOX and PCI ensuring adherence to policies and applicable laws
- Oversee financial reporting and records management and coordinate internal and external audits
- Ensure Hotel Management Agreement compliance including contract negotiation and liaison with owners and hotel departments
- Advise management on tax code revisions ensure timely payments and safeguard hotel resources and risk management
- Participate in Lobby Duty Program engaging with guests and associates after hours or weekends
