Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum four years experience as a Director of Finance in a hotel or resort setting
  • Prior experience as Assistant Controller or Public Accounting Senior or Management
  • Proficient in full general ledger and month-end closing processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • Must have previous hotel experience
  • Four years experience as a hotel or resort Director of Finance
  • Experience as an Assistant Controller or Public Accounting Senior or Management
  • Full general ledger experience and month-end closing experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Supervise all accounting functions
  • Prepare the financial statements within specified time frames and according to Omni Policies and Procedures
  • Analyze and interpret financial results to assist and advise the General Manager and corporate team
  • Maintain balance sheet analysis quarterly or monthly with supporting detail
  • Prepare accurate cash flow statements and projections on a monthly basis and on request
  • Prepare timely and accurate sales, use, and occupancy tax returns and other required external reports
  • Ensure compliance with management agreements and legal documents affecting financial responsibilities
  • Maintain effective systems and control procedures in line with policy manuals
  • Compile and submit financial reports, budgets, forecasts, identifying variances and recommending improvements
  • Review forecasts and budgets prepared by hotel management to ensure realistic performance guidelines
  • Ensure legal, treasury, and tax documentation is properly maintained and reporting requirements satisfied
  • Maintain adequate insurance coverage to protect hotel assets
  • Ensure controls are installed and maintained to protect assets against loss or misappropriation
