Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance
- minimum four years experience in hotel finance or related field
- prior experience as a Director of Finance preferred
- experience in assistant controller or senior accounting role
- proficiency in general ledger and month end closing
- strong analytical and communication skills
- ability to work effectively under pressure
- excellent organizational skills
- ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
- previous hotel experience required
- four years experience as a hotel or resort Director of Finance
- experience as an Assistant Controller or in Public Accounting Senior or Management role
- full general ledger and month end closing experience preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to work under pressure
- exceptional organizational skills
- ability to meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Supervise all accounting functions
- prepare the financial statements within the time frames supplied in the corporate closing schedule and according to Omni policies and procedures
- analyze and interpret financial results to assist and advise the General Manager and Omni Corporate Team
- maintain balance sheet analysis on at least a quarterly basis with full supporting detail
- prepare accurate cash flow statements and projections monthly and on request
- prepare timely and accurate sales, use and occupancy tax returns and other external reports as necessary
- ensure compliance with management agreements and legal documents
- maintain effective system and control procedures per policies and procedures manuals
- ensure all financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other required information are accurately compiled and submitted on time
- review forecasts and budgets by hotel management to provide reasonable and achievable performance guidelines
- ensure all legal, treasury, and tax documentation is properly maintained and all statutory requirements are met
- ensure adequate insurance coverage is maintained to protect hotel assets according to management contract requirements
- ensure controls are installed and maintained to protect hotel assets against loss or misappropriation
