Job Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of progressive accounting and finance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality preferred but not required with sufficient experience
  • Background in hotel accounting is highly desirable
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to manage month-end responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality preferred
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting and finance management experience
  • Experience in hotel accounting and familiarity with AHLA Uniform System of Accounts preferred
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities
  • Knowledge of legal financial reporting requirements such as SOX and PCI
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting processes

Job Duties

  • Reinforce the company's Art + Science ideologies to ensure translocal hospitality, intuitive service, and collaboration are modeled by leadership
  • Actively participate in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating associates to nurture ideas and develop future talent
  • Uphold the company's values and guidelines for a respectful, diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace environment
  • Serve as a role model for the company's open-door policy and employee engagement practices
  • Lead and manage the accounting and finance procedures, ensuring execution and compliance with deadlines
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts collaboratively and recommend major economic objectives and policies
  • Develop and implement procedures and training to ensure timely completion of accounting activities
  • Provide financial analysis to key stakeholders and collaborate on hotel financial goals
  • Administer and enforce legal and financial compliance initiatives including SOX and PCI
  • Oversee financial reporting and coordinate internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with Hotel Management Agreements and manage vendor contracts
  • Advise on tax code revisions and ensure timely payment of taxes, fees, payroll, and vendor invoices
  • Participate in Lobby Duty Program engaging with guests and associates
