Job Requirements
- A minimum of five years of progressive accounting and finance management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality preferred but not required with sufficient experience
- Background in hotel accounting is highly desirable
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to manage month-end responsibilities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality preferred
- Minimum of five years of progressive accounting and finance management experience
- Experience in hotel accounting and familiarity with AHLA Uniform System of Accounts preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
- Knowledge of legal financial reporting requirements such as SOX and PCI
- Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting processes
Job Duties
- Reinforce the company's Art + Science ideologies to ensure translocal hospitality, intuitive service, and collaboration are modeled by leadership
- Actively participate in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating associates to nurture ideas and develop future talent
- Uphold the company's values and guidelines for a respectful, diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace environment
- Serve as a role model for the company's open-door policy and employee engagement practices
- Lead and manage the accounting and finance procedures, ensuring execution and compliance with deadlines
- Prepare budgets and forecasts collaboratively and recommend major economic objectives and policies
- Develop and implement procedures and training to ensure timely completion of accounting activities
- Provide financial analysis to key stakeholders and collaborate on hotel financial goals
- Administer and enforce legal and financial compliance initiatives including SOX and PCI
- Oversee financial reporting and coordinate internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with Hotel Management Agreements and manage vendor contracts
- Advise on tax code revisions and ensure timely payment of taxes, fees, payroll, and vendor invoices
- Participate in Lobby Duty Program engaging with guests and associates
