Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Five or more years healthcare construction/maintenance experience preferred
- Ten or more years construction/maintenance/healthcare supervisory experience preferred
- Valid state driver’s license where required
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required
- First aid certification maybe required
- Availability to respond to emergencies
- Ability to manage multiple departments
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or technical field preferred
- Five or more years’ healthcare experience involving construction/maintenance preferred
- Ten or more years’ construction, maintenance, healthcare supervisory experience preferred
- Valid state driver’s license where required
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided)
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee general building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs, and electrical work
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all equipment
- Ensure the facility is in a sanitary, attractive, safe, orderly condition and in compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NFPA, OSHA and accreditation requirements like CMS and TJC
- Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication
- Ensure proper operations and maintenance of water systems, emergency electrical systems, sewage systems, primary electrical systems, telephone systems, fire alarm systems, and heating and cooling systems
- Develop facility maintenance plans, timetables, and recommendations for maintenance projects
- Serve as project manager for small-scale, short-duration projects
- Respond to facility fire and disaster situations immediately and assist per emergency plans
- Coordinate outside service vendors, contractors, and maintenance staff to complete projects as assigned or necessary
