Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills
  • Ability to manage budgeting and cost estimates
  • Proficient in managing information systems and communications networks
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to comply with safety protocols and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in related field preferred but not required
  • Five years progressive experience with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing required
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Electrical certification preferred
  • Mechanically inclined with knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration
  • Organizational skills to coordinate projects and renovations
  • Understanding of energy management systems
  • Ability to manage multi-discipline projects and technical support staff
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Produce an annual budget that accurately reflects costs of operation of Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry Departments
  • Directly supervise all maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry personnel including interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work while appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving employee concerns
  • Inspect club facilities and equipment daily and take appropriate routine, preventive or emergency actions
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of lighting in clubhouse and surrounding areas
  • Maintain work order database on a daily basis and manage staff schedules
  • Make cost estimates for labor and materials and procure supplies according to approved budget
  • Confer with authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Perform electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair, carpentry and plumbing repairs, and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Manage information systems as MIS Manager including user needs assessment, technology upgrades, security and backup systems maintenance, and communications network oversight including maintenance of computerized HVAC, telephone switch, automated attendant and voice mail systems
