Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business management, or related field
- 5-7 years of management or director experience in facility, property management, or entertainment venue
- strong technical knowledge of building infrastructure and maintenance programs
- availability for emergency response outside normal working hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business management, or a related field is often preferred
- minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a management or director role within a large facility, property management, or entertainment venue setting
- strong understanding of building infrastructure, automation systems, technical equipment, and preventive maintenance programs
- excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational abilities
- must be available to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to work event nights, weekends and holidays as required
Job Duties
- Direct and manage all maintenance activities for building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems
- coordinate with event organizers and internal departments to ensure facility readiness and seamless execution of large-scale sports and entertainment events
- develop, monitor, and manage departmental operating and capital budgets
- oversee procurement processes, negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors, and track project expenditures
- ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including building codes, fire safety (NFPA), health codes, OSHA, and ADA standards
- develop and maintain emergency preparedness and disaster recovery plans
- oversee renovations, additions, and capital improvement projects from planning and design to execution
- hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a high-performing team of facilities and custodial staff
- source, negotiate, and manage contracts and relationships with third-party service providers
- perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
