Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of audio visual experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment
  • Must be able to successfully complete Level 3 Skills training
  • Proficiency with use of computer hardware
  • Proficiency with computer software and programs including Internet and Microsoft Office
  • Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus
  • Valid driver’s license required for those operating company vehicles

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels of their organization and provide outstanding customer service while focusing on customer retention
  • Service events and act as a point of escalation when needed
  • Identify key issues and decision makers that influence contract renewal and leverage internal resources to facilitate contract planning
  • Consult with Venue Sales Leadership on sales strategies
  • Participate in business review presentations
  • Drive results by managing an efficient and profitable operation focusing on revenue maximization and cost control
  • Manage labor, equipment sub-rentals and costs to achieve financial goals
  • Utilize operational and financial reports and complete reports accurately and on time
  • Coordinate invoicing activities and ensure timely billing approval by clients
  • Perform and direct daily floor operations including scheduling and equipment setups
  • Ensure all equipment and services are delivered on time and in good condition
  • Anticipate equipment challenges and changes professionally
  • Use inventory control procedures maintaining safety and quality
  • Share labor and equipment efficiently within local market
  • Attend operational meetings with venue staff
  • Apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve equipment and software issues
  • Act as solo on-site technician if necessary
  • Create strategies to maximize revenue per event including upselling and cross-selling
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that convey Encore's value
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals timely
  • Attend site visits and planning meetings supporting customer event experience
  • Collaborate with vendors and departments to capture and service events
  • Understand event cost structure and maintain profitability
  • Maintain accurate customer information in CRM
  • Keep updated on new products and emerging technology
  • Provide world-class service by cultivating relationships with customers and venue personnel
  • Oversee personnel assisting with event execution
  • Meet on-site guests ensuring needs are met and equipment operates properly
  • Monitor venues and check in with customers
  • Promote a polished and professional image
  • Promote a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Manage employee performance and staffing
  • Facilitate team development and training
  • Implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
