Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Willingness to attend pre-event meetings and lead team communications

Job Qualifications

  • OR associate degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in related professional area
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage teams and budgets effectively
  • Experience in guest service excellence and customer relations
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges
  • Proficiency in coordinating multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Familiarity with event technology and logistics management
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and standards

Job Duties

  • Manage all event service, banquet and event technology operations and staff daily
  • Develop and implement business plans and long-term strategies for event operations
  • Establish and monitor measurable departmental goals
  • Oversee event logistics execution and administrative processes
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of function spaces and equipment
  • Lead event management meetings and coordinate event delivery teams
  • Communicate and execute emergency and safety procedures
  • Work with culinary and HR teams for compliance and training
  • Consult with customers to determine event objectives
  • Maintain strong client, vendor, and competitor relationships
  • Review staffing levels and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Attend pre-event meetings to gather critical client information
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures are followed in accordance with SOPs
  • Participate in audits and certifications for staff
  • Assist with corporate event initiatives and promotions
  • Monitor budgets, adjust expenditures, and maintain profitability
  • Review and integrate current trends in event management
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and promote business growth through referrals and repeat events
  • Ensure ongoing communication in all areas of event operations
