Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from accredited university
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales or related field
  • Proven management experience in a hospitality or events environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to work full time onsite
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Compliance with corporate policies and local regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of event technology and banquet operations
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
  • Experience in customer service and client relations
  • Familiarity with food handling and safety standards
  • Ability to train and develop staff
  • Proficient in implementing corporate initiatives

Job Duties

  • Manage event service, banquet and event technology operations
  • Oversee senior banquet managers, banquet managers, event service managers and event technology staff
  • Ensure highest level of service throughout event phases
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through up-selling and cost management
  • Achieve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Manage financial performance of event operations
  • Coordinate with culinary and other property departments to maintain compliance with standards
  • Lead event management and operations meetings
  • Conduct pre-event meetings to set expectations and gather critical information
  • Maintain safety procedures and staff training
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling to meet operational needs
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of function spaces and equipment
  • Participate in audits and certification processes
