Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from accredited university
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales or related field
- Proven management experience in a hospitality or events environment
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Willingness to work full time onsite
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Compliance with corporate policies and local regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of event technology and banquet operations
- Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
- Experience in customer service and client relations
- Familiarity with food handling and safety standards
- Ability to train and develop staff
- Proficient in implementing corporate initiatives
Job Duties
- Manage event service, banquet and event technology operations
- Oversee senior banquet managers, banquet managers, event service managers and event technology staff
- Ensure highest level of service throughout event phases
- Maximize revenue opportunities through up-selling and cost management
- Achieve guest and employee satisfaction
- Manage financial performance of event operations
- Coordinate with culinary and other property departments to maintain compliance with standards
- Lead event management and operations meetings
- Conduct pre-event meetings to set expectations and gather critical information
- Maintain safety procedures and staff training
- Oversee staffing and scheduling to meet operational needs
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of function spaces and equipment
- Participate in audits and certification processes
