Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major
  • 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing or related professional area
  • strong leadership and operational management skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage budgets
  • knowledge of safety and certification requirements
  • ability to work full time
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • willingness to relocate if necessary

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage all event service, banquet, and event technology operations and staff daily
  • develop and implement business plans and strategies for event operations
  • establish and monitor measurable departmental goals
  • oversee execution of event logistics and administrative processes
  • ensure function spaces and equipment are maintained
  • communicate and enforce safety procedures
  • participate in audits and maintain employee certifications
  • manage department budget and adjust expenditures
  • consult with customers to determine event objectives
  • lead event management and operations meetings
  • coordinate event delivery teams
  • ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • review staffing levels and schedule events
  • conduct disciplinary procedures per company policies
