Job Requirements
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years facility management experience
- Hotel facility experience preferred
- Licensed/certified CPR
- OSHA certified
- Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC
- Knowledge of hotel operations
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Previous maintenance/construction experience
- Knowledge of elevators, power, water and sewer distribution
- Knowledge of fire codes and fire protection
- Knowledge of ADA and EPA requirements
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus
- Familiarity with fire and safety procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to respond to emergency calls
- Ability to work in adverse conditions
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years facility management experience required, hotel facility experience preferred
- Licensed/certified CPR and OSHA certified
- Proficient knowledge in building maintenance including electrical, plumbing and HVAC
- Knowledge of hotel operations and construction process
- Competent with Microsoft Office programs
- Previous maintenance/construction experience
- Knowledge of elevators, power, water and sewer distribution
- Knowledge of fire codes and fire protection
- Knowledge of ADA and EPA requirements
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) language skills a plus
- Familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures
- Strong organizational, team building and communication skills
- Ability to complete tasks delegated by manager
- Ability to create a secure work environment and practice friendly management
- Ability to communicate guest comments to management
- Ability to analyze numbers and impact on budgeting
- Ability to identify process improvements
- Ability to supervise engineering technicians and perform safety inspections
Job Duties
- Assist and oversee the Engineering Manager with management of the Engineering department and vendor operations
- Assist in Capital Budget planning and department budget planning
- Assist to ensure all labor and expense budgets are followed and anticipate and address potential overages in budget and communicate action taken to the General Manager
- Ensure all compliance standards are met including OSHA and GHS regulations
- Make financial decisions related to day-to-day operation
- Responsible for purchasing and inventory
- Ensure all work orders are tracked, completed, and prioritized
- Respond to and complete all general maintenance requests as needed inside and outside of the hotel and related properties
- Oversee property facilities management including owner relationships, property walks, budget preparation, guest requests and room calls
- Address safety hazards and report suspicious activities
- Maintain all tools clean and orderly
- Set up and execute preventative maintenance programs
- Other duties as assigned
