Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of food service experience
- Certification in Serv Safe or equivalent
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Willingness to maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- Ability to manage and lead dining staff
- Willingness to comply with health and safety regulations including COVID-19 vaccination policy
Job Qualifications
- 3 plus years of previous food service experience
- Management experience is a plus but not required
- Serv Safe and/or other required local, county or state certifications
- Ability to switch tasks quickly and often
- Positive and professional attitude with clear and respectful communication
- Pride in food quality, presentation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Patience and ability to effectively communicate with diverse personalities
Job Duties
- Follow company dining policy and procedures while ensuring all department personnel are compliant
- Responsible for purchasing all dining food and nonfood items with 95 percent DSSI ordering compliance
- Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies
- Utilize company standard recipes when completing food production for meals
- Ensure food is served at proper temperature and portion sizes according to food temperature policy
- Ensure residents prescribed diets are offered when applicable
- Drive high satisfaction by offering residents choice, dignity, and independence in dining
- Ensure operating and cleaning instructions/procedures are developed and implemented for the department
- Perform pre-meal dining stand-up with service staff to review daily menu details
- Know and adhere to all company and local, state, and county health regulations and act as the community dietary representative in inspections
- Ensure all dining areas are clean and safely operating and complete monthly self sanitation audit
- Interview, manage, train, hire, discipline, and terminate all dining staff as needed
- Oversee scheduling of all food service personnel to maintain compliance with labor budget
