Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of management experience preparing meals for large groups
  • Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment such as steamers, convection ovens, ranges, grills, meat slicers, mixers, and dishwashers
  • Food handler's permit
  • Completion of state-required health and background checks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to adhere to physical demands including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Up to 10% local travel for operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related management experience in large-scale meal preparation
  • Experience with common commercial kitchen equipment operations
  • Food handler's permit and state-required certifications
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows operating system
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in or with senior living or healthcare communities preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily dining services operations
  • Plan and coordinate menus that meet nutritional and dietary needs
  • Manage kitchen staff including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with all state health, licensure, and certification requirements
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address dining-related feedback and concerns
