Job Requirements

  • Degree in culinary arts or restaurant service, preferred
  • food safety certification required
  • previous experience cooking in a similar environment
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • ability to lead a team effectively
  • physical ability to lift trays and dishes and move dining furniture
  • effective communication skills
  • punctuality and reliability

Job Duties

  • Oversee entire culinary department operations
  • train and supervise dining department associates
  • maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
  • manage budget effectively
  • prepare and serve food and refreshments
  • oversee setup for all meals and special events
  • ensure cleanliness and smooth functioning of kitchen and dining areas to provide a gracious dining experience for residents
