Job Requirements
- Degree in culinary arts, nutrition, food service management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience in culinary management
- Strong knowledge of USDA child nutrition guidelines and food safety standards
- Proven experience in menu development and vendor management
- Experience in training, mentoring, and hiring culinary staff
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Duties
- Develop and implement seasonal, rotational menus that are USDA-compliant, age-appropriate, and reflect the brand
- Oversee compliance with all food safety regulations and develop SOPs for kitchen practices
- Conduct regular kitchen audits to ensure quality and safety standards
- Supervise, coach, and support all school chefs, including hiring and professional development
- Create and distribute operational manuals for kitchens and recognize excellence through Chef of the Month program
- Review and approve menus and develop standardized recipe guides
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, track food costs, and centralize ordering
- Collaborate with curriculum and marketing teams to enhance family dining experience and brand alignment
- Plan and execute culinary needs for special events and celebrations
