Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, food science, hospitality management, or related field preferred
  • minimum 5 years experience in culinary development or food production environment
  • strong understanding of recipe development and scaling
  • experience with local and sustainable ingredient sourcing
  • proficiency with culinary database management systems
  • ability to coordinate across departments and influence stakeholders
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in workflow management tools such as Excel, Smartsheet, and Google Docs
  • must be able to travel occasionally to client sites
  • physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions
  • comfortable working in fast-paced environments
  • commitment to culinary excellence and sustainability principles

Job Qualifications

  • Prior administrative experience is preferred
  • must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • position requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 25 pounds
  • position requires frequent repetitive motion of hands and/or arms

Job Duties

  • Completes recipe development, editing, and maintenance in culinary databases
  • supports recipe development process with process changes and new recipe procedures as directed by culinary leadership
  • manages recipe changes associated with enterprise and SKU optimization projects including global ingredient changes
  • manages supporting recipe development documentation including electronic record-keeping of completed recipes
  • supports overall recipe development ensuring sound culinary preparation and proper yield
  • creates and maintains menu and recipe tools to enable field menu execution such as MTO sorter, SOP videos, and recipe cards
  • obtains new ingredient forms and manages entry of new ingredients
  • assists with planning and execution of development team presentations, ideation sessions, vendor presentations, and product-cutting
  • scales vendor recipes when applicable
  • organizes monthly calls with constituent groups to ensure alignment
  • manages field inquiries and feedback related to recipes through Recipe Feedback, Recipe Questions, and Ingredient Hotline portals
  • tags recipes in the menu management system
  • maintains Restaura menu constructs and updates as directed
  • supports Restaura culinary training in new field locations and for newly onboarded culinary talent
  • creates menus for new Restaura sites
  • develops, scales, deploys and supports Galley platform across Restaura
  • acts as liaison between client partner sites and supply chain to develop relationships with farmers, ranchers, and producers to increase responsible and local procurement including whole animal purchasing programs and third-party certification
  • travels periodically to client partner sites
  • utilizes tools like Excel, Smartsheet, and Google Docs to manage workflow
  • carries out special projects as assigned
