Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
  • minimum of 5 years of experience in executive culinary management roles
  • demonstrated experience in large-scale banquet and multi-restaurant operations
  • excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance
  • proficiency with kitchen management software and inventory control systems

Job Qualifications

  • proven leadership as an executive chef or executive sous chef in a large resort, hotel, or high-volume restaurant environment
  • experience managing multi-outlet kitchens and large banquet operations
  • ability to inspire teams, mentor future chefs, and build a culture where people want to stay and grow
  • passion for ingredients, technique, and taking a culinary program to the next level
  • strong operational discipline including food cost, labor management, and kitchen organization
  • ability to stay calm, focused, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure

Job Duties

  • lead and inspire a talented team of culinarians who care deeply about their craft
  • oversee the culinary vision for five restaurants and a high-volume banquet operation
  • elevate the food program and help position Town and Country as a top culinary destination in San Diego
  • partner with Food & Beverage leadership to design menus that are creative, profitable, and unforgettable
  • maintain exceptional standards in food quality, safety, consistency, and presentation
  • bring energy and leadership to a fast-paced resort environment where no two days or events are the same
