Job Requirements

  • Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a luxury or luxury/lifestyle hotel
  • Proficient in Reserve Cloud, Triple Seat, Microsoft Office Suite, and event planning software
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred
  • Proactive and detail-oriented relationship builder with passion for hospitality
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
  • Able to work long hours as required

Job Duties

  • Maintain attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor with guests, managers, and employees
  • Develop and maintain trusted client/member relationships to secure repeat business and referrals
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning including menus, logistical arrangements, staffing, and setup
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Generate new business leads, negotiate contracts, and close catering sales
  • Develop and manage Banquet Event Orders and Resumes to ensure accurate communication
  • Create cost estimates, manage budgets, and coordinate billing to ensure profitability
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Banquet, Operations, and Membership teams for event coordination
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee load-in and event breakdown
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and collect feedback for continuous improvement
  • Supervise banquet personnel and daily banquet operations
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints
  • Coordinate with F&B managers to address issues
  • Keep supervisor informed of relevant matters
  • Monitor loss prevention in banquet operations
  • Prepare and submit reports including wage progress, payroll, revenue, and employee schedules
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health, sanitation, and SOPs
  • Conduct staff performance reviews
  • Participate in departmental training and meetings
  • Oversee banquet setup and cleanliness
  • Maintain up-to-date details on banquet functions
  • Conduct ongoing staff training and menu briefings
  • Supervise banquet checks and ensure guest signatures
  • Requisition liquor for banquet bars
  • Ensure safety and sanitation in service areas
  • Control and maintain service equipment
  • Maintain overall guest satisfaction
