Job Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in catering or events
- At least 1-3 years of experience in management role
- Previous experience in events and catering
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Washington State Food Worker card
- Servsafe Manager certification
- Alcohol Service certification
Job Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in catering or events
- At least 1-3 years of experience in management role
- Previous experience in events and catering required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Available to work event-based hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Complete Washington State Food Worker card, Servsafe Manager, and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
Job Duties
- Coordinate total catering operations including booking events, supervising teams, developing and costing menus, pricing, hiring, and departmental administration
- Be responsible for preparation, service, and cleanup for multiple catering operations
- Develop and implement catering solutions to meet customer needs
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans for catering including collateral, sales strategies, and budgets
- Establish and implement service and presentation standards, ensuring compliance and consistency
- Participate in sales process and contract negotiations and assist clients in special event planning
