Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration or related field
- minimum five years experience in catering sales within private club or hospitality industries
- knowledge of pricing and services of other catering venues in Sacramento
- experience using CRM software preferably Clubessential or Reserve
- motivated with strong sales capabilities
- detail oriented
- highly organized
- ability to maximize event revenues and create exceptional member experiences
- thorough knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
- ability to assist with new event creation and execution
- adherence to club policies
- able to work evenings and weekends
- capable of sitting, standing, moving, twisting, reaching for extended periods
- able to perform repetitive motions and carry typical office items
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration or related field
- minimum of five years of related experience in catering sales within private club or hospitality industries
- current knowledge of pricing and services offered by other catering venues in Sacramento area
- experience using CRM tools, preferably Clubessential or Reserve software
- motivated self-starter comfortable with sales calls
- detail oriented with ability to identify customer needs and collaborate on event execution
- highly organized and able to multi-task
- knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
- upholds club rules regarding billing, dress code, and other requirements
Job Duties
- Solicit members graciously and consistently
- negotiate and book business to maximize catering and event sales
- book events based on space availability and type of function
- maintain accurate event calendar to prevent scheduling conflicts
- manage events from start to finish ensuring prompt resolution of issues
- track lead source and lost business to guide marketing investments
- conduct site tours and pre-event walkthroughs with clients
- collect final guarantees and timely payments
- complete and distribute banquet event orders
- develop and maintain professional vendor relationships
- coordinate holiday decoration contracts
- lead weekly BEO meetings with management team
- maintain CRM database, contracts, and forms
- attend Entertainment Committee meetings as primary contact
- provide regular financial and activity reports
- collaborate with Executive Chef on menu updates
- respond to inquiries promptly
- send thank you surveys to event hosts
- communicate effectively with members, guests, and staff
- recommend annual marketing plan to General Manager
- maintain active involvement in community and industry organizations
- establish and maintain positive relationships with competitive clubs and local event planners
- participate in private club industry and community activities
