Job Requirements
- Must have a four-year college degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related field or equivalent experience
- Must have five or more years of related catering and conference services experience preferably as a manager in a luxury or lifestyle hotel
- Must be familiar with hospitality industry practices
- Must be willing to travel locally and overnight
- Must have knowledge of hospitality software applications such as CITY
- Must possess strong mathematical skills and computer aptitude
- Must have proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including various shifts
- Must be self-motivated
- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must possess superior organizational skills
- Must be able to follow relevant policies and procedures
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing changing priorities
Job Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related degree or equivalent experience

Job Duties
- Develop Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, function room diagrams, and business correspondence
- Utilize CITY system for accurate blocking of events, groups, traces, and generation of BEOs
- Obtain guarantees for food and beverage functions
- Lead pre-conference and post-conference meetings and departmental/BEO meetings
- Supervise all group information/changes and communicate to appropriate hotel colleagues
- Audit banquet checks for assigned groups
- Contract business with approved vendors and approve payments
- Coordinate all aspects of conferences including food and beverage, timing, audiovisual, room type allocation, rooming lists, amenities, function room setup, group transportation, special meal requests, billing instructions, room deliveries, telephone and internet needs, power and security requirements, and entertainment
- Support team members in coordinating business luncheons, cocktail receptions, and professional dinner presentations
- Answer inquiry calls and reply to RFPs
- Actively solicit potential clients via telephone
- Confirm function space availability and quote room rental fees
- Generate and execute contracts
- Secure deposits and final payment methods
- Ensure success of events to promote repeat business
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
