Job Requirements
- Interview select train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with core values
- Plan and conduct pre and post convention meetings with clients and respective departments
- Establish rapport with and entertain meeting planners while promoting hotel facilities and services
- Conduct walking site inspections throughout property
- Monitor in-house group activity providing assistance as needed
- Communicate with sales front office and reservations to coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs
- Assign banquet meeting rooms set up based on needs of clients
- Assist sales staff in promoting hotel developing leads and securing re-bookings
- Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts
- Document tracking of group activity
- Access and input data into computer system to generate account history reports
- Analyze banquet event orders to ensure that all room set-ups equipment supplies staffing and menus meet or exceed customer expectations
- Recommend implement monitor and control the banquet budget and coordinate with event budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
- Develop and implement in conjunction with sales and convention services special packages and create new menus and themes within corporate guidelines
- Monitor and control the maintenance of the meeting space and equipment to protect hotel assets and ensure a safe work environment
- Responsible for overseeing forecasting and budgeting processes on a monthly quarterly and annual basis ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to green program
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Job Qualifications
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- 3-5+ years experience in catering and conference services
- Strong time management skills and proven demonstration of grace under pressure
- Experience in taking care of guests in a fast paced environment
- Flexible schedule availability
