Job Requirements

  • Interview select train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with core values
  • Plan and conduct pre and post convention meetings with clients and respective departments
  • Establish rapport with and entertain meeting planners while promoting hotel facilities and services
  • Conduct walking site inspections throughout property
  • Monitor in-house group activity providing assistance as needed
  • Communicate with sales front office and reservations to coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs
  • Assign banquet meeting rooms set up based on needs of clients
  • Assist sales staff in promoting hotel developing leads and securing re-bookings
  • Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts
  • Document tracking of group activity
  • Access and input data into computer system to generate account history reports
  • Analyze banquet event orders to ensure that all room set-ups equipment supplies staffing and menus meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Recommend implement monitor and control the banquet budget and coordinate with event budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
  • Develop and implement in conjunction with sales and convention services special packages and create new menus and themes within corporate guidelines
  • Monitor and control the maintenance of the meeting space and equipment to protect hotel assets and ensure a safe work environment
  • Responsible for overseeing forecasting and budgeting processes on a monthly quarterly and annual basis ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to green program
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Job Qualifications

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 3-5+ years experience in catering and conference services
  • Strong time management skills and proven demonstration of grace under pressure
  • Experience in taking care of guests in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible schedule availability
