Job Requirements

  • requires at least 4 years of experience
  • requires at least 1-3 years of experience in a management role
  • previous experience in events and catering required
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • strong communication skills
  • available to work event-based hours
  • complete food handlers and alcohol service certifications as required
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods
  • ability to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Duties

  • coordinate total catering operations including booking events, supervising teams, developing menus and pricing
  • oversee preparation, service, and cleanup for multiple catering events
  • develop and implement catering solutions to meet customer needs
  • maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • create and execute annual marketing plans for catering including sales strategies and budgets
  • establish and enforce service and presentation standards for catering operations
  • implement new services to support business growth and client retention
  • advise clients and staff on current catering trends and products
  • facilitate delivery of food for banquet events
  • participate in sales and contract negotiations
  • train and lead catering employees
  • set and achieve sales, food, and labor targets
  • manage execution of catering events including staffing
  • oversee accounting functions for catering revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • ensure compliance with food safety and environmental policies
