Job Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Sufficient education or literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate job-related needs
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Warm, professional demeanor reflecting the Culture of Excellence
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings or events

Job Qualifications

  • College degree in Business, Communications, or Hospitality highly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel catering sales experience required
  • Experience in Marriott hotels highly preferred
  • Proven experience managing event spaces of at least 10,000 square feet
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in strategic sales planning and execution

Job Duties

  • Build excellent relationships with clients, third parties, and community organizations to generate catering business for the hotel
  • Provide strategic direction to the catering and conference services team to achieve revenue goals and maximize revenue performance
  • Guide the catering and conference services team to meet monthly revenue targets through action plans, targeted high-value accounts, and active selling strategies
  • Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure seamless and flawless event execution
  • Develop creative menus and catering packages tailored to client needs
  • Maintain strong communication with clients throughout event planning and execution phases
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and maintain competitive advantage
