Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, arts administration, hospitality, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in business operations or related commercial enterprises
  • Minimum 4-5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience in nonprofit or cultural institutions preferred
  • Proficient with digital sales channels and business software
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Expertise in revenue generation and financial analysis
  • Advanced budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Understanding of marketing and digital engagement strategies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to analyze sales and visitor data
  • Proficiency with business systems
  • Commitment to equity and inclusive practices
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability
  • Knowledge of retail and event sales operations beneficial

Job Qualifications

  • Strong skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and operational planning
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered business practices
  • Knowledge of retail operations, event sales, hospitality, or visual arts sales beneficial

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership to departmental heads ensuring alignment with institutional goals
  • Coach and mentor leadership teams to enhance capacity in managing budgets and business operations
  • Oversee business and revenue strategy development to drive sustainable growth
  • Guide financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring across departments
  • Lead the integration of digital commerce platforms ensuring optimal user experience
  • Manage operational standards, policies, and procedures for efficiency and visitor satisfaction
  • Cultivate external partnerships supporting community engagement and commercial objectives
