Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum five years progressive management experience in luxury hotel operations
- Knowledge of CI-TY, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Micros systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in dynamic environments
- Excellent guest service orientation
- Physically fit to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
- Proficient in English communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management
- Minimum 5 years progressive management experience in luxury hotel operation
- Knowledge of CI-TY, Excel, Word, and Micros systems
- Great leadership and communication skills
- Effective at understanding and clarifying concerns of associates and guests
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Outstanding guest service skills and professional presentation
- Sophisticated communication skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Additional language is a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Office software
Job Duties
- Manage banquet staff including bartenders, captains, event concierge, housemen, and servers
- Lead execution of activities to support resort banquet strategy
- Work with direct reports and event managers to review scheduled events and event complexity to avoid service challenges
- Ensure the property is apprised of all groups impacting operations
- Ensure meeting spaces and supporting areas are cleaned and maintained
- Ensure furniture and equipment maintenance and inventory levels meet hotel guidelines
- Work with culinary team to ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Oversee turned opportunities’ function space and group room blocks
- Maintain inventories to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue
- Review property-specific event operations annually and adjust accordingly
- Consult with customers to determine event objectives and requirements
- Work directly with high-profile and high-revenue groups to ensure excellent customer experience
- Attend and participate in pertinent meetings
- Conduct monthly department meetings
- Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet needs
- Recruit, hire, and conduct associate performance evaluations
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor cost
- Ensure banquet staff comply with resort accounting policies
- Perform other reasonable requests by management
