Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • ability to work full time in a management capacity
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • knowledge of safety procedures and food handling compliance
  • ability to manage budgets and adjust expenditures accordingly

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage all event service, banquet, and event technology operations and staff on a daily basis
  • develop and implement business plans and long-term strategies for event operations
  • oversee execution of event logistics and administrative processes throughout the event phases
  • ensure function space and corresponding areas are cleaned and maintained
  • maintain and manage inventory of furniture and equipment according to corporate guidelines
  • communicate and execute departmental and property emergency procedures and provide staff safety training
  • participate in audits and maintain employee certifications
  • assist in implementing and executing event-related corporate initiatives
  • manage department budget and adjust expenditures according to revenue
  • monitor and integrate current trends in event management
  • consult with customers to determine event objectives and requirements
  • lead event operations team meetings and coordinate with culinary and other property departments
  • maintain high customer satisfaction for repeat business
  • ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and legal regulations
  • review staffing levels, troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, and conduct pre-event meetings
  • manage disciplinary procedures and employee documentation according to company policies
