Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of banquet management experience
  • High school diploma
  • Preferred four-year degree in hospitality or related field
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage financial systems and controls
  • Ability to perform moderately complex calculations such as determining average covers
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using computer systems
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods while touring banquet and event spaces
  • Ability to sit and perform tasks in an office environment
  • Prior experience in a union environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure the highest quality of food, beverage, and service in all banquet areas
  • Lead and train banquet staff to deliver seamless service and consistent standards
  • Coordinate banquet service needs with culinary production teams
  • Maintain effective communication within the department and with other hotel teams to meet guest expectations
  • Control labor, costs, and expenses while operating within budgetary and forecasted guidelines
  • Implement and support hotel operation policies and procedures while working within union contract guidelines
  • Promote a culture of excellence and teamwork within the banquet department
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage leadership
