Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years in F&B and/or Event Operations Management leadership role
  • Banquet experience preferred
  • full-time management position requiring full flexibility including weekends and holidays
  • ability to understand and anticipate needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • extremely creative, innovative, detail-oriented, and organized
  • hotel or equivalent experience with thorough understanding of banquet service levels

  • 3-5 years in food and beverage and/or event operations management leadership role

Job Duties

  • Directs and leads the Event Services (Banquets), Event Services Set-Up, and Event Services (Banquet) Beverage departments
  • Coach and motivate employees in achieving exceptional guest service results and department engagement
  • Lead and develop direct reports including managers, assistant managers, and supervisors
  • Quickly understand and respond to complex business matters
  • Impact and achieve Meeting Planner satisfaction scores
  • Ensure proactive communication and client changes are executed by reviewing Banquet Event Orders daily
  • Oversee appropriate and timely setup of all functions and meetings while maintaining food, beverage, and meeting standards
  • Proactively review staffing and equipment needs
  • Coordinate and execute all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/Convention Services, Event Services, Set-Up Floor, and Beverage departments
  • Develop innovative and creative decor for banquet function spaces
  • Manage short and long-term banquet functions in front and back of house
  • Establish high standards of quality service through hiring, training, development, and promotion
  • Facilitate administrative tasks including payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory, and budget management
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health and corporate standards
  • Develop ideas for special events and holiday functions
  • Manage or work in a unionized environment preferred
