Job Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Typically has 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years management experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in global transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of managing container logistics and transportation partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in transportation management software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- International and domestic travel as required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in global transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with at least 3 years in leadership
- Proven track record of managing container logistics and international shipping operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in transportation management software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Develop and implement a global transportation and logistics strategy that aligns with company objectives
- Identify and evaluate new logistics opportunities and markets to expand the global footprint
- Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Lead, mentor, and develop domestic and international logistics teams fostering a culture of high performance
- Oversee day-to-day global transportation operations ensuring timely delivery
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and manage risk mitigation strategies
