Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically has 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in global transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of managing container logistics and transportation partnerships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in transportation management software
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • International and domestic travel as required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, business administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in global transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with at least 3 years in leadership
  • Proven track record of managing container logistics and international shipping operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in transportation management software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement a global transportation and logistics strategy that aligns with company objectives
  • Identify and evaluate new logistics opportunities and markets to expand the global footprint
  • Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
  • Lead, mentor, and develop domestic and international logistics teams fostering a culture of high performance
  • Oversee day-to-day global transportation operations ensuring timely delivery
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and manage risk mitigation strategies
