Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in wine industry specializing in bulk wine sourcing and sales
- Proven track record in supplier and buyer relationship management
- Knowledge of bulk wine import regulations and logistics
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to travel frequently by car and air
- Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours during peak seasons and events
Job Qualifications
- 10+ years of wine industry experience with expertise in bulk wine sourcing, importing, and/or commercial sales
- Proven relationships with domestic and international suppliers and buyers
- Experience with bulk wine logistics and compliance
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver against cost of goods sold targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence at all organizational levels
Job Duties
- Identify and develop global sourcing opportunities for bulk wine imports aligned with cost and quality objectives
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee logistics and regulatory compliance for bulk wine imports
- Collaborate with winemaking and operations teams to align imported bulk wine with production needs
- Develop and execute plan for selling surplus domestic bulk wine
- Build and maintain a network of domestic buyers, brokers, and producers
- Work with inventory and cellar teams to identify wines available for sale
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align bulk wine strategy with business goals
- Provide market trend insights and maintain awareness of global and domestic bulk wine pricing and supply
- Track and report on cost savings, sales volume, and supplier/buyer activity
- Support annual planning cycle with volume forecasts and commercial targets related to bulk wine
