Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • Ability to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to coach and develop managers
  • Capability to maintain confidential information
  • Proficiency in handling employee relations issues
  • Must be available to work full-time at The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club location in St. Petersburg, Florida

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Experience in employee relations and dispute resolution
  • Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in performance management systems
  • Familiarity with recruitment and training techniques

Job Duties

  • Direct and work with human resource employees on recruitment, total compensation, employee relations, and training and development
  • Execute objectives outlined in the Human Resource Business Plan
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage legal compliance including employee documentation, disciplinary actions, and audits
  • Respond to unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings
  • Administer property policies fairly and consistently
  • Coach managers on progressive discipline and performance appraisal processes
  • Communicate benefit plan changes and property rules to employees
  • Participate in hiring and performance evaluation of HR team members
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative employee relations and communication channels
  • Monitor work environment for union organization
  • Organize community engagement events
