Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field
  • Ten years of extensive global customer services management within a hospitality environment
  • Five years of onboard cruise ship experience in a leadership position
  • Strategic planner with an innovative, hands-on, practical management approach
  • Ability to provide leadership and motivation to employees in pursuit of company goals
  • Works independently and resolves questions from shore side and shipboard management
  • Cultivates an environment whereby the shipboard management team is motivated, knowledgeable and proactive
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for operational shipboard visits
  • Proven track record in managing large teams and complex operations
  • Experience in strategic planning, financial management, and compliance oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Hybrid position with three days in office per week (Tuesday - Thursday)
  • Position to transition to new headquarters in Miami, FL in 2028 maintaining hybrid work schedule

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Extensive global customer service management experience within hospitality
  • Five years of onboard cruise ship experience in leadership positions
  • Proven track record in managing large teams and complex operations
  • Experience in strategic planning, financial management, and compliance oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Previous corporate level cruise industry or shore side experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to work independently and resolve management questions
  • Skilled in fostering motivated, knowledgeable, and proactive shipboard teams

Job Duties

  • Drive the strategic vision for hotel operations, ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest experience goals
  • Provide guidance and direction for new concepts and experiences
  • Participate in itinerary planning to incorporate vessel feedback and address deployment issues
  • Leverage hotel performance analytics to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities
  • Oversee daily hotel operations across the fleet including accommodation, food and beverage, guest services, and housekeeping
  • Drive a high-performing, guest and crew centric culture focused on innovation and growth
  • Conduct regular ship visits to ensure product delivery and service standards are met
  • Serve as main operational contact for shipboard Hotel General Managers providing day-to-day support
  • Lead, mentor, and develop hotel teams fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Manage hotel operations budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with other Directors on fleet alignment, operational procedures, KPIs, and targets
  • Participate in scheduling, succession planning, training, evaluation, and development of shipboard personnel
  • Interview and approve personnel as well as recommend to senior shoreside leaders
  • Monitor and drive ship performance to surpass guest satisfaction and financial targets
