Job Requirements

  • University degree
  • Minimum 10-15 years of management experience in major event operations
  • Proven track-record in managing complex projects
  • Strong knowledge of event planning and event project management processes
  • Client oriented, efficient and effective with strong collaboration skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to give clear directions and empower team members
  • Experience hiring, building and leading a team
  • Organizational and/or financial and budget oversight
  • Capacity to take and disseminate directions and decisions
  • Ability to cope in an international, demanding and changing environment
  • Ability to adapt and work well with people of other cultures and backgrounds
  • Flexibility and the ability to travel and work autonomously and with accountability
  • Readiness for stand-by duties
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient in MS Office and online collaboration tools

Job Duties

  • Ensure the Host City delivers on all contractual agreements
  • Manage the delivery of facilities, key sites and services to world-class standards
  • Oversee a FIFA26 team including hiring, administration and operations
  • Track planning and operations and provide timely status updates
  • Liaise with all FIFA operational functional areas to ensure smooth event operations
  • Establish constructive relationships with Host City authorities and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to achieve seamless integration at the Host City
  • Integrate all relevant operational plans into effective venue plans
  • Identify and mitigate risks across the venue
  • Contribute to project management and knowledge management initiatives
  • Coordinate and plan official test events
  • Manage FIFA World Cup quality and cost-efficient on-site support
  • Organize and lead host city tours for key staff and VIPs
