Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in related field with 13 years of experience or MS/MA degree in related field with 11 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred
  • Ten years of trade compliance or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience with FDA, DEA, EPA, and USDA import compliance

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in related field
  • MS/MA degree in related field preferred
  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of trade compliance or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience with FDA, DEA, EPA, and USDA import compliance
  • Comprehensive understanding of trade regulations
  • Familiarity with automation tools or system integrations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
  • Critical thinking and project management skills
  • Excellent relationship management
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize based on corporate goals
  • Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods and evaluation

Job Duties

  • Create and execute vision for trade compliance through leading projects and initiatives
  • Keep abreast with current industry movements and upcoming regulatory changes
  • Act as main liaison within the organization for trade compliance issues and questions
  • Generate policies, procedures, and standards related to trade compliance and logistics
  • Educate and develop organizational training curriculum on trade compliance subjects
  • Oversee and perform audits and investigations to maintain compliance adherence and accurate records
  • Generate scorecards measuring performance of trade activities, brokers and freight forwarders
  • Oversee transportation validations
  • Advise on logistics strategies and projects
