Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years in global trade compliance
  • Licensed Customs Broker
  • Expertise in HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Experience with trade systems and brokerage provider management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Greensboro, NC or Danville, VA or remotely

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Licensed Customs Broker with expertise in HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin
  • Minimum 7 years experience in global trade compliance
  • Proven leadership with 5+ years people management experience
  • Skilled in guiding cross-functional teams
  • Experience with trade systems and platform implementations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Direct global import and export operations to ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade laws
  • Serve as primary liaison with government authorities, foreign agencies, senior leadership, and internal counsel on trade matters
  • Develop, implement, and oversee customs compliance programs including provider management, audits, classification databases, valuation, and recordkeeping
  • Lead and train the global trade compliance team managing personnel, service providers, special customs procedures, and government inquiries
  • Manage brokerage and service provider selection processes
  • Oversee responses to government audits and inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with special customs procedures and maintain trade records
