  • Minimum two years hospital nutrition management experience or three years high-volume food service management experience
  • registered dietician or certified dietary manager within 24 months

  • servsafe general certification within 60 days

  • bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field preferred or three years equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of bachelor's degree

Job Duties

  • Oversee management of all food and nutrition services
  • plan, direct, coordinate and control department resources to provide food service for customers, employees and patients
  • prepare the budget and assist in developing financial and operational plans
  • support transition of new facilities
  • establish and maintain regulatory compliance with food and nutrition services policies and safe food handling practices
  • manage department human resources including orientation, training, supervision, performance evaluation, wage and benefit administration, and compliance with labor regulations
  • monitor department performance via patient satisfaction, quality assessments, inspections, and financial reports
  • complete QAPI assessments and corrective actions
  • address customer complaints and conduct service recovery
  • conduct rounding with patients and staff
  • maintain logs of feedback for continuous improvement
  • participate in hospital committees
  • oversee locations including Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy and Lasting Hope Recovery Center
