Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of kashrut requirements
  • Experience in food bank management or nonprofit program leadership
  • Fundraising and community partnership development skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including occasional evenings and Sundays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Valid Florida Driver License and reliable transportation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, nonprofit management, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of kashrut and Jewish community resources
  • Minimum five years of experience in food bank management, business operations, social services, or nonprofit leadership
  • Proven fundraising and volunteer management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems
  • Valid Florida Driver License and reliable transportation
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic direction for kosher food bank programs and initiatives
  • Develop and implement operating plans, budgets, and program objectives
  • Lead and supervise daily operations including food ordering and inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with kashrut, food safety, and regulatory guidelines
  • Oversee client intake and assessment processes
  • Participate in senior management team activities
  • Provide compassionate service to clients and coordinate community referrals
  • Track client trends and produce monthly reports
  • Design and implement fundraising campaigns and events
  • Cultivate and steward donors and community partners
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
  • Build and maintain community relationships
  • Represent JCS at community events and collaborative initiatives
  • Manage program budget and approve expenditures
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting
  • Maintain a culture of accountability and compliance
  • Directly supervise staff and volunteers including hiring and evaluations
  • Participate in JCS signature events and organizational meetings
