Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five to seven years of direct management experience
  • Minimum of two years’ food services experience in healthcare or higher education setting
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage high volume operations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a union environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee strategic direction and operation of Food & Nutrition Services and Gift Shop
  • Manage food production, service, sanitation, catering, purchasing, and receiving
  • Ensure provision of therapeutically correct diets following physician orders
  • Plan, organize, direct, train, and staff departments
  • Provide quality meal service and university-quality customer service
  • Adhere to hospital policies and patient safety standards including HACCP
  • Lead education and training programs focused on patient and employee safety
